REJECTION. It plays an important role on being part of the third sex- particularly the gay community. Although there is no 'third' gender actually [ as taught by our Holy Bible ], 'third sex' was coined by the 'primary individuals', which is their way of othering.REJECTION. This nine-letter english word adds a great deal of story, thrill and spice on our daily living. This is what makes us. We are whole bunch of actors playing as actresses sharing the same role -- as social outcasts.
TRACING THE ROOT
Scientific studies are never certain about who the first gay was, or the root of this, or where and how it started. But one thing's sure -- it is in our house where the rejection started.
In worries that their gay child might draw a lot of attention and would eventually become the laughingstock of the neighborhood, our parents tend to scold us blatantly -- then they'll tell us what and what not to do, or what and what not to be. Which is oh so wrong.
At first, i really cant understand what's wrong with myself. And im really thankful I have a set of open-minded relatives and family. Discrimination was never been a problem to me, but the outside world.
COMING OUT
As the Theory of Individual Difference tells us that " no two persons are exactly alike " [ biologically, physically, and other ally's ], this poses the cause of the main problem -- stereotyping.
Stereotyping are hasty generalization. These are prejudgments, mostly baseless and pointless cash advance loan.
Gays are often misunderstood as social dirt, sexually-thirst, elements of evil and among other terms that would make gays really different from them payday loans.
Society then is to blame. Thats why other gays decided not to come out in the open in fears of gender discrimination, which is not really good.
Theyre not free, figuratively speaking. They cant live their lives normally, coz theyre living with their masks on.
SOME INSTANCES THAT DISPLAY DISCRIMINATION
1. MRT Cabin
Biological men were separated from women, right? Imagine a gay with his wigs on and fake breasts tucked in entering the male's cabin. Weird huh? What more in a public restroom? Think.
2. TxtScene / Chat
Gay: Hi
Boy: Hello, gud eve, asl?
Gay: John 18 g manila
Boy: Ano po
ung g?
Gay: Gay po.
Boy: Bye
Gay: Hehehe
3. Political Standing
Are there any gay governor? Or a gay senator? Discount the fact that Danton Remoto of Ladlad Partylist turned out to be a nuisance candidate for senator. And if then by chance, a showy gay politician, like Diego, run for presidency, would he get the sympathy of the mass when his opponent calls for morality?
4. Education Issues
This is not to generalize, but the move, or the culture, of the San Beda admin to filter gays by setting this insensitive masculine test was nothing but exaggerated. The very place we should practice our social being is the very place that deteriorates us.
We should not let our apathy eat us whole about this issue. Yes, its true that Philippines is the only catholic country in Asia, and we are playing too-holy, but assess yourself. Are these the teachings of the Bible? Discrimination? Othering? Stereotyping?
Visit the nearest church, just an idea. In one way or another, we will never accept the rejection. Its a give-me-liberty-or-give-me-death thing, im sorry.

ABOUTTHEPHOTO:
Love them or hate them. I know these gays personally. Theyre my friends.

yung bgsound...isa iyong napakalungkot ng hum ng isang baliw na napanood ko sa isang horror korean film... sounds creepy pero if you listen, you'll hear how her heart struggles to escape from the world she isn't meant to be in...
hay...
hmm...have nothing against the third sex, in fact, may friends din akong kasapi dito...

Kritiko
November 1, 2007 8:46 PMi agree that no matter how society says we're accepting people as they are, discrimination still happens. i grew up with gay friends and it honestly makes me sad and a little mad how people could be so mean to people who are and could be gay. i may have such a conservative background but i am for gay people. instead of helping, society breaks people's spirits sometimes. which is sad and very real.

November 25, 2007 2:06 PMThis current generation of homos, generation malaking-eks, has so perfectly evolved that they eat discrimination and spit it out for their critics to feed on. Its either that, or they just don't bother and flip the finger with just the fashionable amount of abandon.
I should know. I belong in it.
